Virtual Bilingual Poll Worker Orientation

Gubernatorial Primary Election, Tuesday, June 2, 2026

You are cordially invited to our special orientation for bilingual poll workers. The purpose of the orientation is to help boost your confidence in your role as a bilingual poll worker and prepare you for the upcoming Election.

  • Attending your assigned training class as noted in your appointment notice is mandatory.
  • Attending this in-person/virtual bilingual poll worker orientation is voluntary and unpaid.

Orientations will:

  • Be in English and one of the following languages: Chinese, Filipino, Spanish, or Vietnamese  
  • Describe bilingual voting services in the County of San Diego
  • Review of the California Voter Bill of Rights
  • Highlight the importance of your role as a bilingual poll worker
  • Review election terminology in both languages
  • Provide an overview of the Permanent Resident poll worker program
  • Provide an overview of a list of Translated Materials available at the Vote Center

Whether you are a new or returning bilingual poll worker, these orientations are informative and helpful.
